Okiko Ramen is an amazing Ramen from Okinawa – Japan’s Southern Island. It is distinct for being small, snack style Ramen without any additional sauces to add. The flavor is kneaded directly into the noodles.
It has a mellow chicken flavor – it is enjoyed every day all over Okinawa as a snack or part of a meal.
You can eat Okiko Ramen in 3 different ways!
1. As a snack – break it apart in the bag and eat directly (Okiko Ramen is sold in candy stores for this purpose).
2. In a cup – place the ramen into a cup of boiling water and let sit for 4 minutes.
3. As a meal – put 2 packs into a bowl full of boiling water, then cover and let steam for around 4 minutes. You can then garnish it with your favorite ramen toppings.
